Ember Steel is a steel alloy developed specifically for percussion instruments. Each batch is checked for its resonance qualities and natural corrosion resistance.

Shell Forming
The two hemispheres are shaped by progressive cold pressing. This technique preserves the crystalline structure of the steel, ensuring optimal resonance and maximum durability.
Step 4
Heat Treatment
Thermal nitriding hardens the steel surface at high temperature. This process permanently locks the tuning, protects against rust and gives the handpan its dark finish.

Quality Control & Certification
Before shipping, each handpan is played, listened to and certified. Only instruments meeting our quality standard are approved — others are retuned.
