Ember Steel is a steel alloy developed specifically for percussion instruments. Each batch is checked for its resonance qualities and natural corrosion resistance.
Step 2
Shell Forming
The two hemispheres are shaped by progressive cold pressing. This technique preserves the crystalline structure of the steel, ensuring optimal resonance and maximum durability.
Step 4
Heat Treatment
Thermal nitriding hardens the steel surface at high temperature. This process permanently locks the tuning, protects against rust and gives the handpan its dark finish.
Step 5
Quality Control
Before shipping, each handpan is played, listened to and checked note by note. Only instruments meeting our quality standard are approved — others are retuned.

Absolutely. The scales used (Kurd, Pygmy, Aegean…) are pentatonic or modal, meaning all notes harmonise naturally with each other. It is impossible to play a wrong note — improvisation is accessible from the very first minutes.
Delivery is free worldwide. Each instrument is packed in a padded crate specially designed for handpans and shipped with a tracking number. Timeframe: ~15 days of production in the Hluru workshop + ~15 days of international shipping.
