Enixan is my player name. Charles is the one who answers you.
Why "Enixan"?
Before the handpan, there were video games. Enixan is the username that followed me through years of League of Legends, Final Fantasy, and nights spent in worlds that sounded more in tune than my own. When it came time to give this project a name, keeping that username was obvious: it's the same player — he just switched instruments.
And if you've noticed there's only one letter between Enixan and Enixpan… that's no coincidence. The "p" of pan simply slipped into the middle.
Burnout, then an instrument that asks for nothing
In 2022, I was going through a severe depressive episode — what people politely call a burnout. The kind of period where anything that required effort, even the things you love, turned into a mountain.
That's when I laid my hands on a handpan for the first time. And something happened that nothing else had managed to do: the instrument asked nothing of me. No music theory, no sheet music, no "right" way to play. Just frequencies tuned to each other, sounding beautiful no matter what you do.
Four years later, I play every day. And Enixpan exists for one reason only: to pass that on — the instrument, the no-music-theory approach, and what frequencies can do when you give them room.
Tech & frequencies: the two halves of the project
I come from tech, and you can hear it in everything Enixpan builds: Nixis, our interactive tester that lets you hear every scale before you buy; the learning app designed to help you progress without a single line of music theory; and guides written to answer the real questions people ask before their first handpan.
As for frequencies, it has become more than a curiosity: 440 Hz vs 432 Hz tuning, scales and their emotional colors, sound healing — everything that explains why this instrument does what it does.
The "Validated by Enixan" badge
Every model in the catalogue carries this badge because I have actually played and validated it: tuning accuracy, sustain, balance between notes, playing comfort. Our instruments are built by the Hluru workshop (Level A quality) — I choose the scales, I play them, and if a model does not pass this test, it does not enter the catalogue. It is as simple as that.
